Introduction
There are several ways to define a trip; everyone has their own perceptions. But the common thread is the cost of travel if it involves public transportation. A trip cannot take place without the existence of a cooperative travellers. It should be noted that the people travelling have their own demands and expectations, both from this cooperative and vice versa. This cooperative is obligated to uphold its code of ethics, including respect for traveller rights. This is where problems arise, such as the management of public transportation and respect for human rights. But above all, it’s best to understand the reasons and experiences of travellers in these two regions and the capital of Madagascar in order to find appropriate solutions.
Main Reasons for Travel
People from the North come to Antananarivo to study, according to young high school graduates, sell products from the region, run a business, manage marketing among Tananarivians, or simply to work, to pass through so they can work abroad, or for political reasons (political meetings between central and local authorities). Therefore, for some people, traveling is a pleasure, an opportunity to have a little fun, meet a friend, and especially to enjoy natural, tasty foods.
Travellers’ Experiences
On the other hand, other travellers constantly complain about the level of service the cooperative provided them. First of all, the failure to respect the departure time, the place has never been comfortable, especially for those who are old, they do not have the right to criticize the drivers, the travel expenses, then the food is very expensive. And, the drivers, the vehicle owners, the eateries often take advantage of people who travel in the bush in one way or another, more precisely during the tropical season because many of the roads are damaged due to the abundance of rain or cyclones in these two regions. Then, the risks of accidents are very high. Faced with all this, the desire to travel diminishes. So, a trip is really a headache for all these people. Compared to this, how can these travellers enjoy the rights to travel or especially their right as human beings?
Conclusion
So, suggestions to eradicate this situation, the only important thing is for the central and local authorities to take into account the needs of travellers, including ensuring that ticket agents and travellers are educated. For the latter, it’s also important to make them aware of their rights to avoid all forms of scams. In any case, it would be better for the Malagasy government to open a specialized school for land transportation in Madagascar.
