Introduction

Child trafficking deprives them of their rights to education, access to health care, and human dignity. It is a widespread scourge in the Sahel and particularly in Niger and generally affects orphaned children. Insecurity and wickedness push individuals to appropriate human personality for pecuniary and dishonourable ends. Often, it would even be families who exchange their children in exchange for remuneration or by using the children for their purposes for begging in the world. This is how this phenomenon is becoming more and more widespread around the world in the social precarious situation.

How do these malicious individuals alienate and violate all human rights?

The trafficking of orphaned children highlights the evils of our societies which no longer care about social justice and are simply content to make profits for selfish interests. By organizing themselves to manipulate children, the individuals involved in the trafficking of minors succeed in destroying the future of these minors and especially since their most basic rights are not granted such as the right to freedom, to education, health in great contempt of the preamble of the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights. By using these children to carry out subordinate tasks and work, the children involved are generally left to fend for themselves, without shelter and without support. They face the harsh reality of life, hanging on to their existence. In the absolute need to feed and clothe themselves, they find themselves in a situation of begging to survive and may face predators who monopolize them for ends contrary to morality.

How can we put an end to this scourge?

It is a scourge that concerns everyone, all aspects of human life are involved in denouncing, fighting and ensuring safety for children. States must step up repressive measures against perpetrators or co-perpetrators, society must educate and provide poor children with a framework of monitoring and social assistance.

Child trafficking has a direct impact on the future, physical and mental health of children in situations of manipulation by third parties. This is an aberrant act; societies must accelerate the process of their economic empowerment and stop this haemorrhage of child abuse.
