For an eternity
Fantasy pleasured incensed desire
Need to conquer
Want to overcome
Harnessed by the power of death
Seduced by wicked intent
Night became a shield
Darkness soothed the broken soul
Fuelled madness for satisfaction
The moon peeping through the window
Shadows dancing on the wall across
Dance as old as time
Time unravelling dances of melancholy
The light leaves the spirit ashen
Exposed out there
I itch for the darkness
The body inches towards it
Gravitates to it…
Fate… it must be
What a sad life
Filled with such resentment
Suspicion your armour
Defence your shield
Desire ignites, tempered by fear,
Pleasure and pain entwined in silent rhythm,
The body moves, the mind trembles,
Yearning for the hidden, the forbidden,
A melancholy waltz between dusk and dawn.
What a sad life
Timely misplaced
