Technophilia refers to a strong affinity for new technologies. The technophile eagerly adopts emerging technological trends. For them, Artificial Intelligence represents an invaluable technological database that provides impressive tools for problem-solving. Technophiles can use AI to train themselves, enhance their skills, and increase productivity with remarkable time savings. Generative AI, which is rapidly developing, can produce images, videos, or sounds spontaneously, delivering decisive results in fields as diverse as healthcare, education, and industry. Seen as a revelation of human scientific evolution, without any prohibitive boundaries, AI is considered a boon for technophiles.

Artificial Intelligence from the Perspective of a Technophobe

Technophobia is defined as an aversion to new technologies. From this perspective, AI is viewed as a threat. Technophobes are concerned that human cognitive abilities—thinking, creativity, and physical work—are being replaced by virtual systems. They fear that AI encourages mental “hibernation,” while human health depends on keeping the brain active. They are also aware that the robotization of industries has already endangered many professions and replaced the warmth of human interaction with the cold efficiency of machines.
