The magic of the festive season

Introduction

The end of the year heralds joyous and festive times for everyone. Pennants hang from lampposts at the edge of lanes. People are busy buying groceries, festive clothes, building cots, and decorating their homes. The magic of the festive season is not just about preparing for the festivities, but also about family, friends, and the lonely.

The Importance of Family

During the festive season, parents stress about spending money on food, drink, decorations, and clothes for the children. Some often go into debt, forgetting that the festivities are temporary. During the last days of the year, it’s important to focus on the family and not just the festive spirit. Everyone needs to devote time to their family members. It’s important to create unforgettable moments that will stay with them forever. For example, a meal or a family outing to thank them for coming. As well as family, friends are important.

The Presence of Friends

Not everyone is lucky enough to have a family or to be with family at the time of the festivities. This can sometimes detract from the magic of the holidays. However, the presence of friends is an essential help. These people spend less time on decorations and more on spending time together. For example, they’ll organise a get-together, dance the night away, eat and drink their fill and go home happy. The magic of the holidays is also about valuing each other, because things are fleeting. Good company makes for magical moments, and sharing them with people in need or on their own is part of the magic of the festive season.

The Lonely

The end-of-year festivities are interesting when loved ones are by our side.  It’s a time of celebration and happiness is everywhere. Unfortunately, some people don’t get the chance to celebrate with family or friends. In the streets, in hospitals, and in orphanages, it’s possible to meet people who don’t have close relatives with whom to celebrate happy moments. But there are associations and organisations that brighten the hearts of these men and women. The celebration is sober, but so very real.

Conclusion

The best times of the year are usually spent with the people we love. We get carried away by the madness of the preparations, the excessive spending, and the beautiful clothes. But not everyone is so lucky. So we need to rethink the meaning of the holidays and bring out the magic in them.
