Introduction
After school exams, children at home disrupt the peaceful living of residents. They play throughout the day in neighbourhoods, disturbing the tranquillity of families and neighbours because they are on vacation. What are the consequences these children can create in residential areas? We observe the chaotic installation of football fields, constant noise, and garbage dumps in neighbourhoods.
Chaotic Football Fields
During vacations, residential areas are transformed into football fields. Children indeed invade the streets after their parents leave for work. Stones are set up as goals, unfortunately preventing passersby. Parents at home rarely intervene. Afternoon naps are impossible because the contact between the ball and the doors of houses produces a panic-inducing noise. One wakes up abruptly, wondering about the cause. The ball often crosses the fence and hits items inside the houses. Woe to you if you have glass doors and windows. No parent will be reimbursed. Good neighbourhood relations are put to the test in case of disasters. However, nothing is done because they are on vacation. The noise produced is also unbearable.
Noise Pollution
The silence of nature disturbs many people. Indeed, some children have taken it upon themselves to brighten up the neighbourhood with new-generation boomboxes. The party goes on from morning to night. They play music without respecting the required decibel level in urban areas. Sometimes, the volume is so loud that one must raise their voice to talk to another person in the same room. As an explanation, those involved argue that houses are empty at certain hours. These are places of residence, not entertainment venues. It pollutes living environments in the same vein.
Garbage Dumps
Preserving nature is important, and it needs protection. However, children need to remember this rule after leaving the classroom. During their matches, they drink and throw empty water sachets on the ground. Wrappers of their sweets, snacks, and juice cans are carelessly thrown, and tree branches are broken for no reason.
Conclusion
Residential areas are not entertainment venues. For this reason, leisure areas must be rehabilitated, and municipalities must take action. Indeed, tranquillity and mental health are threatened. Everyone is free to do what they want, but when this freedom hinders others’, it should end. Vacations pass, but the residents are still there.
