Raising Responsible Adults

Introduction

Raising children to be good and responsible adults involves a combination of love, guidance, and setting a positive example to train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it. To be successful in raising their children, parents normally seek the help of different methods suggested by third parties. Everyone has their own ideas of what is best for their children.

Why should children be raised and trained as responsible adults?

Parents should understand that raising or training a child should be in a way to help them become better and know that one day they will be adults which means not actually raising children but adults. Because you love your children, you will want to see them succeed and parents want this so badly that they don’t allow their children to learn valuable lessons that would assist in developing a sense of responsibility. Teaching children to be responsible often necessitates that parents allow their kids to do things on their own and even let their children experience some failures. Children learn from challenges and disappointments and this equips them to be strong and able to stand for themselves in the future.

Raising a child is not to do for them what they can do but one should remember that kids don’t consequently remain kids forever. What happens to children as they grow into adulthood mostly it is important to raise your kids in the right way as this influences their growth. How an adult behaves and how they turn to live their lives depend on how they were programmed at their young age.

Most parents dream of a responsible, independent teenager, one that lends a hand with household chores without being asked, always calls to check in and hangs out with a good crowd of friends. But in reality, all teens are going to drop the ball on responsibility.

The importance of both parents present in the lives of their children:

Parents should consider raising their kids together not only as the best way but as well considering the environment where they are in. Is it safe? Are the kids comfortable? Are they happy? Children might not like the rules and regulations but they should live in harmony and the environment should be conducive. The more both parents are involved the better they become in terms of taking care of them, and their needs and this should include emotional, physical, mental and financial support. Moreover what parents do with their kids now will determine how they will turn out when they are adults. Parents must not ignore the signs of disrespect or unexpected behaviour in them. It’s very easy for parents to be brash and naive and think that their kids are just kids therefore they will understand as they grow, however, this is not the case.

Nevertheless, parents can’t be reluctant or careless when raising their kids, they need to educate them and prepare them for adulthood, on the other hand, children need to be disciplined and scolded for their wrongdoing. Remember that there are always consequences of an action taken. They cannot be spoiled otherwise their tomorrow will be a problem and as a result, the future will be compromised.

What we do now while raising our kids will either build them or destroy them:

The children you have in your house today, don’t look at them as kids, however, look at them as adults or leaders of tomorrow. Let us look at what we can do now for us to raise responsible adults who will have better futures.

Conclusion

Inclusion school should be an addition to what is already there and our home should be the foundation of everything. Parents should understand that it’s not always about what they want for their children but most importantly what their children need. Raising responsible adults for tomorrow.
