The stock market refers to the collection of markets and exchanges. It is through stock markets and exchanges that these companies issue shares which can be purchased by investors. Companies do this to raise money that they use to grow and operate the business. Engaging in stocks is so good because it is reliable and vital.
If you want to purchase shares in a publicly traded company, you will need to find the exchange they are listed on. Apple for example is listed on the NASDAQ which is in New York City. Safaricom is listed on the Nairobi Securities Exchange.
