The role of collaboration in African history is frequently overlooked. Strong partnership between men and women can lead to happy relationships and well-balanced families. Strong relationships often lead to progress and growth.
MEN AND WOMEN CAN SHAPE HISTORY
It is important to remind ourselves that both men and women can and have shaped history. Strength, passion, leadership qualities are not restricted to men over women. Both sexes have worthy views to share. We as people also progress the most together.
Emperor Haile Selassie I was Ethiopia’s emperor from 1930 to 1974. He is known as a defining figure in Ethiopian history. What many people don’t know is that his wife, Empress Menen Ansfaw was his most trusted advisor. The Empress also loved education and supported by her husband, she set up the first Ethiopian girls-school in Addis Ababa. Emperor Haile Selassie and Empress Menen Ansfaw were a team. They supported each other to make history.
There are many other examples of how successful men and women are when we work together. Male and female complement each other. Harmony between man and woman is harmony on earth. This is why a serious respect for women must be reflected in society.
STORIES SHAPE OUR LIVES
