Career Workshops with the University of Oxford, United Kingdom

In partnership with Oxford University interns, we hosted career workshops for individuals aged 20-45 across Africa. These workshops covered essential topics for professionals in various industries, including writing, IT, and management. Participants gained insights into career advancement, learned best practices in their respective fields, and were guided by industry experts.

• 👩🏽‍⚕️ 190 participants trained from across Africa — including biomedical engineers, electrical engineers, and hospital technicians.
• ⚙️ Hands-on virtual training on critical medical devices such as MRI, CT scanners, ventilators, ultrasound systems, and medical pumps.
• 🌍 Pan-African reach, connecting learners from multiple countries in both Anglophone and Francophone regions.
• 📜 Certificates of completion awarded upon successful participation and verification by SternMed GmbH.
• 💡 Increased technical competence, enabling safer and more efficient equipment management in hospitals and clinics.

We have partnered with DataCamp Donates to provide scholarships for learners across Africa, giving them access to over 440 courses on the latest technologies. Through this program, participants can learn data science, AI, machine learning, and more—at their own pace. With hands-on exercises, real-world projects, and assessments, learners are equipped with the data skills they need to thrive in the modern job market.

This scholarship is intended for individuals who are:

• Unemployed
• Underemployed (too low of a wage and/or not enough hours)
• Living below their country’s poverty line
• Refugees of war and/or environmental disaster
• People with disabilities or who are part of historically disadvantaged communities
• Students aged 16 – 26
• Nonprofit research scientists working with environmental and/or health data
