Money as a Tool, Not a Master

Money as a Tool, Not a Master

Money and I walk a careful line,

I earn with true intention, I spend with articulate design.

I budget with designated purpose, I save with tedious care,

Planting small seeds for a future fair.

It jingles, it folds, it slips through hands,

It builds our homes, it shapes our delicate plans.

It comes and goes, but here’s the key

Understanding it seamlessly strengthens me.

I navigate loans, credit, and debt,

Lessons learned I won’t forget.

Interest rates and calculated risk,

Not fear-driven choices made in a rush or a twist.

Multiple streams, I aim to build,

Not just to earn in futility but to be skilled.

Insurance, savings, assets aligned,

Security first, then growth in mind.

I weigh my choices, slow and wise,

Discipline seen through steady eyes.

Not every want deserves a “yes,”

Not every pressure needs to impress.

Money and I no blind romance,

I take the lead, I set the appropriate stance.

A tool, a partner, never my master,

Guided by knowledge, my steps grow swiftly faster.

Because wealth is more than coins in hand

It’s freedom, planning, and where I stand.

And when I understand what money can be,

It no longer intrusively controls me.

It works for me
