« Dreams Deferred: The Youth’s Anthem »

The youth stand tall, eyes full of dreams,
Chasing futures through fragmented beams.
They speak of hopes, of a brighter tomorrow,
Yet they walk through a world of sorrow.

They wear ambition like a crown of fire,
Yet the world places their dreams in the mire.
Unemployment’s grip holds them tight,
As they search for a beacon, a guiding light.

« The world is ours, » they once believed,
But now their voices are often deceived.
Opportunities scarce, doors slammed shut,
Their dreams are dust in a world grown blunt.

They march in silence, heavy hearts in tow,
Pushing against winds that never blow.
The fire within them flickers still,
But their path seems clouded, time stands still.

And yet they dream, even as they fall,
For dreams deferred never lose their call.
They rise each day, despite the strife,
For their anthem is hope, and hope is life.

In the face of adversity, they stand,
Grasping at a future with trembling hand.
Their anthem is loud, though it may be faint,
For the youth of Africa will never be late.
